K, it's officially winter. I'm pretty sure my phone says it's going to be -19 degrees on Thursday. I'm ignoring it.
When it comes to winter, to be veryyy honest, I don't put too much effort into my clothing on a daily basis. I need a few good, classic pieces that won't make me look like I'm...suffering through winter?
Because deep down, I'd rather be anywhere than trekking through minus degree temps. ANYWHERE.
But, as life has it (for now) I'm here, in this beautiful (horribly cold) country. I'm not complaining, I swear. At least not too much.
Anyway, as I mentioned, I wear a few things on repeat in the winter, and this vest is one of them.
Versatile, comfy, warm, and chic.
There's nothing I love more than a classic piece that can take me through an entire season. I also chose this wine coloured vest instead of black. I know, shocker. But, why not introduce some colour over the winter season into your wardrobe? I kept the rest of the outfit pretty neutral.
There are 100 different ways to wear this vest. Again, I like to keep things very simple and easy during the winter. Effortless dressing is the way to go. Layering is your bff.
You can dress this up with a cute sweater dress and this vest on top. Add some bold accessories, a cute ankle bootie, and a wine coloured lip, and you're good to go.
I went for a day time, office-look here. But, again this is something I'd rock on the weekend, running errands as well. I'm not one to wear my pjs to the grocery store. Ever. So, something like this, with jeans and winter boots, would even work.
How do you guys handle the winter?
I mean, most people I know can't wait for that first snowfall, where they get to bust out their North Face slush pants and go snowboarding....
I'm just not one of those people. Slush pants? Just, no.
I dream of sipping on Piña coladas in Mexico until it's Spring again. Anyone else?
God bless amazing hairstylists though!! My girl, Joanna at Onaré Salon, has been doing my colour for over 7 years, and I can't brag enough about her. Seriously, I know we all say that about our stylists, but holy shit, I have a killer team.
If you live in the Mississauga area, you NEED to go see Joanna for a colour, and Jessi for cut. They are life changing. Really.
Okay, just got home from an awesome event. Check it out on Insta! UN: @thechicconfidential.
