Life Lately.

The Nanz & I enjoying a moment.

Hi hi!

How's everyone doing?

Sorry, I haven't been blogging as much. There's been A LOT on the go lately, and I'm trying to keep up with everything, including my sanity, of course. If I focus all my energy into work, I will lose it.

And if you haven't read my post on balancing work and life, you should. It's all about switching off once in a while, which in turn, makes you more successful at what you do. Check it out.

If you follow along on Snapchat or Insta, you would've seen that I shared a beautiful, intimate moment with my grandma. I had her over at my new place for some chit-chat and rosé wine. She hates that I live alone and tells me everyday that "I need to find myself a husband." She's never afraid to speak her mind, something I think I got from her ;) And she'll never turn down a day with her granddaughter and some good drinks. It's always fun listening to some of her stories. At 91, the woman may not remember everything you tell her these days, but she can take you back to the 60s/70s and make you live it like it was yesterday. And she was born and raised in India...

Moments like these are my absolute favourite. I never ever take them for granted. Just being in her presence, lights up my day. I know she won't be around forever, but right now she is, and I'm SO grateful for that. It's a blessing to have her around.

I don't normally share super intimate moments and family on the blog as much. I like to keep those things private, however, I decided that she deserves a little cameo on the blog. She's one of my favourite people ever, so why not?

On another completely different note, MY WISDOM TEETH are coming out tomorrow!

I may have been a bit dramatic about this over the last few weeks...and I may have compared it to the pain of child birth. No, I've never given birth before (LOL) nor have I ever had my wisdom teeth removed. And before you moms jump on me for comparing the two, just know that I can be overly dramatic when it comes to pain...

So bare with me.

Not looking forward to being bed-ridden for a few days. It's just not my thing. Anyone else like that?

I've been in major prep mode for the last couple days. Nothing like planning the event for my wisdom teeth removal...(serious event planner at heart)

I've got some organic soups, yogurt, popsicles, and mashed potatoes. What else does one eat with a swollen jaw and sore gums? HELP.

Follow along on Snapchat....you MAY get a snap or two out of me. UN: kim-marquis.

Guys, French Connection is killing it with their Fall collection right now. I'm totally obsessed with this hooded coat and this grey tote. Perrrrrfect for fall. The coat actually carries right over into winter, as it's SO warm. Check out their website. LOTS of sales.

This outfit details are here.

Black on black ON BLACK.

Can you ever go wrong though? Nothing chicer than an all-black outfit. Really.

Daniel Wellington came out with a gorgeous, classic watch with a black interface. I mean, it's stunning. With a black strap made from genuine Italian leather and a distinctive dial, the Classic Black Sheffield is a sophisticated timepiece that adds confidence and attitude to your style. Totally my kind of accessory.

And because you guys are amazing as always, there's a 10% discount happening right now on ANY of the Daniel Wellington watches. Just use the code CHIC16.

Ok, thats it for now friends.

Wish me luck on the wisdom teeth surgery. And NO, I don't want to hear anyone's horror stories.

Happy ones are welcome though! :)

Have a fantastic Friday and weekend!

Xx, kim

I have had a kid and have ahead my wisdom teeth removed. I was awake during the wisdom teeth, actually both things lol. You will be ok. You won't even feel a thing. Especially if you get anesthesia. The recovery is what I hated. The gauze and everything bleh! Good luck.

Thank youuu!! Lol, I'm glad you've done both and can make me feel slightly better about this. Yea, the recovery will be tough. :/

I currently have all 4 of my wisdom teeth grown. The pain I had to go through while they were growing out was a nightmare; I didn't eat for a week for each tooth. And I hear they're usually the ones which get caries and go bad so remove them! get rid of those! :D good luck, all will be good :)
