Short Shorts, Chokers, & Vince Camuto's.

Happpy Monday, friends!

Hope you all had a productive weekend.

I'm all about productive weekends these days. There's nothing I hate more than a weekend that feels "unaccomplished." You know?

I don't mean that you need to be working or anything. I kind of set the tone for my weekend on Friday's. If I want to get shit done, I'll go as far as writing down what I need to get done. Some weekends are packed with shoots for the blog, other weekends are filled with weddings, events, etc., and some are spent on the couch....watching Scandal. Haha. Is anyone here a binge watcher?

I'm asking, because I'm not. But, lately I feel like Scandal is SO good, that I cannot stop watching.

CRAZY.

Anyway, what did you guys get up to on the weekend? I mostly spent it outdoors, as the weather this weekend was UNREAL. With weather this hot, I couldn't spend a moment indoors in air conditioning. I'm one of those 'crazies' that embrace the heatwave.

I of course did I bunch of shoots for the blog. And if you we're following on Snapchat, you already know that. (UN: kim-marquis)

Let's get into this outfit.

Before I get into it though, I must tell you guys that I'm NOT a short shorts person. As in, I own one pair of shorts...that was given to me from my best friend. I only ever wear shorts if I'm working out or sweating it out in a hot yoga room.

Otherwise, I NEVER wear shorts. It's not that I don't like them. It's that I truly don't think they are the most flattering on me.

Nonetheless, here I am, rocking a pair of high rise shorts (they aren't even mine!) and I don't mind the fit. Maybe that's my issue. Maybe I haven't given shorts enough of a chance? Haha.

Anyone else in the same boat?

I do however, love this outfit. It's very 'music-festival-esque'. Okay, minus the strappy heels. But you can really rock this outfit to a music festival, wearing a pair of chunky boots. No?

Since the music festivals aren't really my scene, I went with the Vince Camuto Jiro Snakeskin heel from their Signature Collection. (fyi, they are on sale right now!!)

GUYS.

Are they not super, super hot??

The snakeskin texture/pattern is so chic-confidential-esque, no?? The second I saw them, I had to have them. Everything about them is so chic.

I thought they went really well with a look like this. Sometimes, shorts can be a bit too casual and the perfect way to dress up shorts, is with a pair of classic heels. Nothing too high, just a pair of 3" heels does the trick.

I also threw in a choker, since I'm all about that these days. My neck almost feels naked without it. ;)

I'm also not quite over fringe yet. Haha. Or will I ever be, is the question....?

Which is why I'm rocking this fringe bag, that I felt went perfectly with this attire.

Okay, I'm off to watch only ONE episode of Scandal.

If anyone else is reallly into it, snap me! Let's have a discussion. All the ladies at work are very much on board with Scandal, so discussions are happening!

Talk soon--

Xx, kim

I'm not a shorts wearer either. I just don't like them anymore. I used to and then just didn't care for them anymore. You look fabulous!
