Weekend Things + The Queen's Plate Event.

Guyssss,

My SINCERE apologies for being so MIA on the blog lately.

If you're following on Snapchat, you already how crazy it's been in my world. And for those who don't know, I've been super tied up with event work the last few weeks. I've kinda neglected the blog a bit, but I swear I'm back in action now.

Kind of.

I mean, the move to the new place is still killing me, because if you know me, you know how anal I can get about everything. Right down to details. So it's been a challenge, but I'm slowly but SURELY moving in, in a few weeks. Just making sure the place is EXACTLY the way I want/need it before I get comfy in there.

Is anyone else like that?? Please weigh in if you are. I hope I'm not the only one.

Many of you snapped me in regards to my work event  on Friday, about how amazing it all looked, and how it really shows how much I love my job. THANK YOU for your kind/sweet/lovely words. Nothing makes me happier. Really.

You guys are so, so sweet and that melts my heart a little.

And yes, I really do love what I do, and I'm glad that resonates on Snapchat. Because aside from The Chic Confidential, my other passion IS event planning. So thank you for noticing that! :)

How was everyone's weekend? Did you guys do anything fun for Canada Day?

Ps. Did any of you happen to be at my Canada Day event in Brampton? Do share! I'd love to know!

I attended the Queen's Plate event yesterday. An event that I was actually counting down the days for. Not that I care much for betting on horse-racing or anything. I literally just LOVE wearing fascinators. Ha. It's unfortunate that we can't wear these everyday...

But, I will take ANY opportunity to wear these fancy things and this event was one of them.

I also just loved people watching at this event. As you saw on Snapchat, I was in awe of some of the ladies' fascinators and outfits. I mean, people really stepped it up at this event, and I really do love seeing that. Outfits were on point.

I went with a simple yet flirty, frilly dress. An oldie from H&M, and threw on this white blazer from Zara. I've worn this fascinator before and just LOVE it. I bought it on my travels to Australia a while back.

I'm sharing some of the Queen's Plate snaps with those who haven't already seen these. Snapchat is HELLA more fun, so, seriously come join the party!!

Also, GOOOO check out Snapchat for an easy, delicious Orzo salad I made!! I'm sharing exactly how I made it, and I'm telling you it's easy as ever. And not to mention healthy!!

+ Snap me things you guys want to see more of too! I'm happy to share more recipes, beauty tips, OOTDs, etc with you guys. Just let me know!

Have a fantastic week, friends!!

Xx, kim
