Soooo, it's the middle of December and the temperatures here in Toronto feels like it could be Fall! Nottttt complaining, guys!! I mean, I know it's probably some major Global Warming shiz, but I'd rather have 11 degree weather in December instead of -11. Who's with me?
So this past week, the events team at work decided it would be super fun to take a trip down to the Toronto Christmas Market and check out the different vendors and activities that go on. I've actually never been myself, and I have to say that it was amazing!
They have over 40 vendors that line the Distillery District. Everything from handmade soaps, scarves, hats, pastries, and more. Pretty much the perfect place to do ALL your Christmas Shopping.
Just some advice when going:
♡ Saturday and Sundays have a $5.00 cover. During the week (Tuesday-Friday) it's free.
♡ I loved going during the day on a weekday. It's not overly packed, and you actually have a chance to spend some time checking out all the vendors, and snapping photos of....well, everything. For all you lovers, the nighttime is so romantic and cozy. Don't forget to snap a photo under the big red heart!
♡ The Market is gorgeous, so photogprahers, it's worth bringing your SLR's to captures some of the beauty. Lot's of hanging lights, a huge Christmas tree, and overall the Market has such a European feel to it. Takes me back to my travels to Portugal, Spain, and France.
♡ There is lots of parking everywhere. The cheapest parking (five bucks) is on Lakeshore right across the Market. It's about a 5 minute walk.
♡ Plan your day well, because there are tons of amazing restaurants really close by to enjoy some diner after. Oh, and I almost forgot about the mulled wine. No seriously, everyone needs to go there and have a cup.
...Because why not?
So those of you that have been to the market...what did you love about the market? As an event planner, I love getting feedback, whether it's an event I'm planning or one I'm just attending.
Weigh in on what you loved/didn't.
Okay, I'm off to try and make some mulled wine. I mean it's kind of the perfect Friday night 'in' drink...no?
Have an amazing weekend. Xx, Kim
