I'm all about collecting amazing quotes, phrases, and words that make sense to me in my life. There are some cheesy quotes that we hear all the time that I live by, (Everything Happens For A Reason). LOL, you guys know I love that one!And there are some rare quotes I come across that really speak to me.
The other day, scrolling through Facebook I came upon a really simple, yet to-the-point quote.
It immediately spoke to me. I loved how plain and uncomplicated it was, yet had such important meaning behind it.
We try and take on so much in life sometimes, with work, school, people we meet, people we already know, etc. and we're constantly striving to be the absolutely best, whether at work or school, pleasing those we've met and/or already know. But sometimes we just need to be. I'm in no way saying that we shouldn't strive to be the best at what we do, but sometimes we just need to stop worrying about the future, let go of the past, and enjoy the current present.
This beautiful saying hangs above my bed along with "Love Much" and "Live Well"
This can be a great challenge for A LOT of us. By worrying less about the future, letting go of the past, and living more in the moment, we actually focus on our happiness quite a bit more. And in the end, like the quote says, the important stuff stays.
This quote applies to just about anything, which is why I love it so much. Careers, love, relationships, friendships, people, etc.
There are so many things/jobs/people that come in and out of our lives. Those who choose to go, can go. Those who remain, will remain. We shouldn't feel bad when certain people 'disappear' out of our lives. There is a reason behind it all, and I go back to my cheesy quote of 'everything happens for a reason...' All we can do is trust is the situation and remember that 'the important stuff stays.'
Again, I'm in no means turning this into a preaching sesh or anything. I just saw this quote that inspired me, and decided I would share my two cents here. This quote may speak to you in a completely different manner, and if so, please share in the comments! I would love to hear what you guys think.
Also, if there are quotes you love and live by, share them with me and tell me why you love them so much.
