Restaurant Review: Goodfellas Wood Oven Pizza.

Nestled in the heart of Streetsville, Goodfellas Wood Oven Pizza is a little slice of heaven everyone needs to experience! Not only are they known for their delicious Neapolitan-style pizza, but they have a variety of Italian-inspired dishes that will keep you coming back for more!

For the first time ever I visited the beautiful restaurant on a sunny afternoon, and fell quite in love with the entire decor of the place, and obviously their pizza as well! They have a menu full of mouth-watering thin crust pizzas for all tastebuds, the best cannolis I've had to date, and of course the finest red wine.

They have an open concept kitchen which is beautifully decorated. You can see your pizza cooking right in front of your eyes!

I loved the metal pots that just hung on the walls. Super creative, and an overall cozy feeling.

One of my favourite toppings on pizza is argula. I never used to be a big fan of it until recently. Once you've had it on pizza drizzled with olive oil and sliced parmesan cheese, it will change your world!

This delicious pizza you see above is the Vegetables Alla Griglia, with thinly sliced eggplant, caramelized onion, roasted red bell peppers, grilled zucchini, smoked provolone cheese, topped with shaved parmesan cheese, and extra virgin olive oil. I mean does anything sound better than this right now?!

Watching the amazing work the cooks do here at Goodfellas Wood Oven Pizza!

Putting the final touches on the exquisite pizzas!

They also have an amazing menu full of other great dishes. Like the above, Speidini Di Polpo, which is grilled octopus with fresh tomato, garlic, parsley, and olive oil.

Or the Calamari Fritti, which is fried calamari with parsley, sea salt, and olive oil.

And if you are a big meat-eater, be sure to try the Misto di Salumi, which is a platter of assorted cured meats, such as smoked ham, capocollo, spicy calabrese soppressata, mortadella di Bologna, accompanied with all sorts of amazing cheeses, olives, and crostinis.

Last but not least, an Italian meal is never complete without desert and espresso! Their to-die-for Cannoli Siciliani is filled with fresh ricotta de bufala, chocolate hazelnut Nutella, and crushed hazelnuts. Mmmm!

Without a doubt, Goodfellas Wood Oven Pizza is one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. And I have had my fair share of Italian restaurants! If you have been or do go, please share your experience with me in the comments, or on Twitter @marquiskim, or Instagram @kimberleymarquisblog.

Note: Goodfellas is also opening another location in the Fall of this year at 1 Old Mill Drive in Bloor West Village. Do follow them on instagram @Goodfellas_Corp

A special thanks to the staff at Goodfellas Wood Oven Pizza for the amazing service and for hosting us.

Funny, my friend and I shared and we actually ordered the same thing I got last time I came, I guess my taste hasn't changed in the past few years. At Boston restaurants we got Cod with some rolls. The cod melts in your mouth more than cotton candy melts in your mouth.
