Restaurant Review: Raw Aura.

If you've ever questioned going on a raw food diet or eating raw food permanently, Raw Aura is a place you want to try out! I visited Raw Aura for the first time last week, and I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed the food. Situated on Lakeshore in Port Credit, Raw Aura offers familiar food that everyone knows and loves by using 100% raw ingredients. That means nothing is heated over 43C/105F. Their menu is packed with amazing dishes, which you will see below.

Why raw?

This retains the digestive enzyme, vitamin, and mineral content of one's dinner in its pure and natural state. These living foods are simple to digest, leaving the body light and energized since this simple form requires no extra energy from the body. Flavours are pure, fresh and intense, honouring the divine banquet provided by the earth.

Sweet & Sour Noodles - A mix of kelp and zucchini noodles tossed in a light tangy maca infused almond butter based sauce with red pepper, fresh cilantro, romaine lettuce, red onions and topped with spicy almond bits.

Yellow Coconut Curry Noodles - Yellow curry, cashew, coconut oil, garlic, lemongrass, pineapple, lentils, red pepper and red onions tossed over zucchini noodles.

About to dig into these delicious noodles! If you like Thai flavours, you will LOVE this dish! Definitely one of my favourite things on the menu!

Burrito Bowl - A soft sun-dried tomato and carrot tortilla stuffed with lettuce, tomato, red onion, guacamole, and refried pumpkin seed beans, garnished with cashew sour cream and side salsa.

Pasta Bolognese - Zucchini noodles tossed in a rich housemade tomato red pepper basil marinara sauce, sunflower seed and sun dried tomato sausage, topped with almond parmesan.

Falafel Wrap - Sprouted chickpea falafels wrapped in collard green leaves with lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion, chickpea hummus and creamy tzatziki sauce and served with a side salad.

The atmosphere had a lovely earthy feeling, with natural wood tables, menus displayed on chalk boards and their cooking area was filled with organic fruits and vegetables.

Chocolate Banana Cake

I had an amazing first experience with raw food at Raw Aura. I urge you to go and try it out for yourself. The food is different and delicious. Have an open mind about it, and you will no doubt love it!

Do you have a favourite raw food restaurant? I'd love to hear about it. Comment and let me know!
